UK subsidiaries of Arlington International, parts supplier to Jaguar Land Rover, goes into administration

Sky news has reported that Arlington's UK operation has gone into administration putting around 600 jobs at risk in the country. Duff & Phelps has been appointed to over see the process.

According to Sky, parts produced for JLR and other automotive brands such as Ford and Nissan include thermostats and engineered vehicle systems.

Attempts are being made to try and restructure the UK side of the business into a viable concern.

The Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders recently published data to show that new cars sales during April 2020 crashed to 1946 post war levels.

Uncertainly around Brexit talks is also causing concern in the automotive industry at present.
